In this sermon, Pastor Zack continues our study in the book of Judges by finishing the Samson cycle in Judges 15-16. As we come to the conclusion of Samson’s story, we continue to see God sovereignly working to orchestrate conflict between Israel and the Philistines in order to bring salvation to His people. And Samson, with all of his stains and imperfections throughout his life, is used by God to accomplish his purpose to begin to save Israel from the Philistines. At the end of his life, we will see Samson give his life in an act of victorious defeat, which will lead us forward not only to consider the immediate history of Israel in the years to come, but will also point us forward to the greater-than-Samson who was to come — Jesus the Messiah.
