Judges 14:1-20 — The Secret Providence of God

In this sermon, Pastor Zack continues our study in the book of Judges by continuing the Samson cycle in Judges 14. In the midst of the twists and turns of the narrative — complete with marrying a Philistine, tearing a lion to pieces, making a bet, telling a riddle, losing a bet, and enacting revenge — we are reminded in verse 4 of God’s secret providence at work behind the scenes to direct all things to His desired ends. We are reminded through this passage of something that is true throughout Scripture and in each and every one of our lives — that our God is meticulously sovereign over every molecule and decision in this world, and He is working all things for the good of His people and the glory of His name.
