In this sermon, Pastor Zack introduces the book of Judges as he begins his new study through the book. In this sermon, we see the “progress report” of the opening chapter of Judges and how the people of Israel had obeyed God only half-heartedly, leading very quickly to a full abandonment of God. As we study this passage and this book, we are reminded of our own sinfulness and the ultimate Judge that was to come and to whom this book points — Jesus Christ, who would deliver His people from their ultimate enemy, sin and death.
