Amos 1:3-2:16 — God Shows No Favoritism

In this sermon, Pastor Zack begins the first main section of the book of Amos. In this section, Amos deliver’s the Lord’s pronounced judgment on 8 nations. He begins with six pagan nations, moves to the nation of Judah, and ends by putting the nation of Israel in the crosshairs of the Lord’s judgment. As you’ll learn in this sermon, the point of this structure is to set the Israelit’s up to receive God’s judgment upon their sin. In so doing, the Lord reminds us in this passage that God shows no favoritism, and that God will justly judge all sin.
