In this sermon, Pastor Zack continues our study in the book of Titus by looking at one of the primary duties of a pastor of the local church — guarding the flock. The faithful pastor-elder must not only be willing and able to teach sound doctrine, but he must also be willing and able to guard against false doctrine. In this passage, we see Paul point out this twofold task, while also giving a real-world example of its importance as the churches in Crete had false teaching threatening them from every direction.
