In this sermon, Pastor Zack continues our study of Mark’s Gospel by looking at Mark 10:13-22 and Jesus’ conversation with the rich young ruler. Here we see a man eagerly seeking the Kingdom of God. However, when presented with the demands and costs of following Jesus, including getting rid of one’s heart idols that cause him to love something more than God, the young man walked away disheartened and unwilling to follow Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Zack helps us to see that we must have a childlike faith and a wholehearted faith in our following after Jesus.
